GMNP leaders to present at DEED summit
GMNP Executive Director Dan Dorman, President Gary Evans and board member Jonathan Zierdt are among the panelists scheduled to participate in DEED’s State Economic Competitiveness Summit on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 at the St. Paul RiverCentre. The GMNP is also a sponsor of the event.
This day-long event brings together more than 400 community economic developers, workforce development practitioners, planners, civic and government leaders, educators, researchers and nonprofit and foundation representatives for a wide-ranging discussion on the key drivers to economic growth.
General and breakout sessions are designed to showcase tools and resources for use in communities statewide. Dorman and Zierdt will take part in a panel discussion on how regional partnerships (such as the GMNP) contribute to economic growth, while Evans is slated to participate in a panel discussion on broadband. Other sessions will focus on issues such as innovation, workforce development, globalization and more.
