House DFLers join with students to push for broadband funding

The House DFL caucus held a press conference yesterday to tout its proposal to provide $25 million in state funding to help bring high-quality broadband infrastructure to unserved (no service) and underserved (poor service) areas. Lawmakers were joined by high school students from Mora, who described how inadequate Internet service hampers their ability to do research, apply for scholarships and turn in assignments.
