Webinar will answer questions about broadband legislation

Greater Minnesota Partnership Executive Director Dan Dorman is slated to participate in a webinar that seeks to provide information and answer questions regarding the “Border to Border Broadband Fund” legislation.

The webinar, which is being put on by the Blandin Foundation, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on April 4. In addition to Dorman, participants include State Sen. Matt Schmit (DFL-Red Wing), chief author of the broadband legislation; Laura Ziegler of the League of Minnesota Cities, and Bernandine Joselyn of the Blandin Foundation, who will moderate the event. A representative from the cable/Internet-provider industry is also expected to participate.

Described as a “conversation,” the webinar seeks to help you better understand the details of the proposed state broadband infrastructure fund. The participants will answer your questions about the legislation and help you determined if it could benefit you and your community.
