GMNP members invited to attend Summer Conference

The GMNP’s sister organization, the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities (CGMC), is holdings its annual summer conference in Rochester this year and welcomes GMNP members to attend Aug. 20-21. The GMNP is holding a full membership meeting on Aug. 20 in conjunction with the conference — please come for the meeting and then stay for the rest of the conference!

The membership meeting and CGMC conference will be held at the Kahler Grand Hotel in downtown Rochester. The conference will feature speakers on broadband and other economic development initiatives; discussions on how city leaders can address the opportunities and challenges that come with trying to lead in communities that are becoming increasing more ethnically and culturally diverse; options to tour unique Rochester facilities like the Mayo Clinic, U of M-Rochester and the Minnesota BioBusiness Center; an awards dinner honoring legislators, city officials and others who worked especially hard to advance Greater Minnesota priorities during the 2014 legislative session, and much more!

Since it is an election year, this year’s conference will also feature a gubernatorial candidate forum co-sponsored by the CGMC, Rochester Post-Bulletin and Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce on Thursday afternoon at the Mayo Civic Center.

The cost for the two-day conference is $200 (not including lodging). To register, please fill out this interactive registration form and email it to or mail it to:
