First annual GMNP membership meeting to be held Aug. 20
The Greater Minnesota Partnership will hold its first annual membership meeting at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Kahler Grand Hotel in Rochester. The meeting is open to all staff members and representatives of GMNP member organizations and businesses.
The meeting will provide an update on the GMNP’s activities in 2014, including reports on the legislative session and recruitment, as well as discussions on the organization’s plans for 2015. We will gather feedback from members regarding the economic development issues they hope to see addressed in the upcoming legislative session (transportation, job training and workforce housing are among topics that may be discussed), discuss the potential impact of the November elections and look into ways the GMNP can continue to grow its membership.
GMNP members are also encouraged to attend the Coalition of Greater Minnesota Cities Summer Conference, which kicks off at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Kahler. The conference, hosted by the GMNP’s sister organization, will cover many topics that pertain to economic development and community leadership. Highlights will include a panel discussion on the future of broadband in Minnesota, a gubernatorial candidate debate, legislative awards dinner and options to tour unique Rochester facilities such as the Mayo Clinic, BioBusiness Center, U of M-Rochester and the Rochester Art Center.
To register for the conference, please fill out this interactive registration form and email it to email@example.com. We hope you will join us for the GMNP membership meeting and then stay for the CGMC conference!
