DEED calls for applications for Redevelopment Grant and Demolition Loan programs
The Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has put out a call for applications for the next round of Redevelopment Grant and Demolition Loan programs. The Redevelopment Grant Program helps communities with the costs of redeveloping blighted industrial, residential or commercial sites where costly site preparation stands in the way of a redevelopment project. The Demolition Loan Program assists communities with demolition and other redevelopment activity on sites where there is no current development plan or where future development visions are hindered by existing blight.
Approximately $2 million is available for these programs. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1. Click here for DEED’s official call for applications.
DEED will be hosting three workshops throughout the state in late June to provide potential applicants with more information about the program and answer any questions. Details about these workshops will be available on the DEED website soon.
