DEED child care grants available
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has announced a request for proposals for the Minnesota Child Care Economic Development Grant program. This legislative session, the state appropriated $750,000 to help reduce the child care shortage in Minnesota. Of this amount, $450,000 must be awarded to proposals that address the shortage in Greater Minnesota.
Proposals can include, but are not limited to, funding for child care business start-up or expansion, training, facility modifications or improvements required for licensing, and assistance with licensing and other regulatory requirements.
The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. June 26. More information is available here.
